Welcome to October

health self-care

The temperatures are falling and so are the leaves. Welcome to October in EsquireWell, here are a few things I wanted to be sure you knew about:

  • Mental Illness Awareness Week is coming up October 3-7. Sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the theme this year is “What I Wish I Had Known.” Check out the terrific resources available on their website.
  • The World Health Organization’s Mental Health Awareness Day is October 10. Here’s more information.

Mental health is critically important every week and every day, but these are times during the year to raise awareness for individuals and organizations. And if you are struggling, maybe this is the time to reach out and get the help and support you need.

If you live in Florida or other areas impacted by Hurricane Ian, our thoughts are with you.

Wishing you all the best.
